Every day of the year, Sacred Heart Mission assist hundreds of people who are experiencing homelessness or living in poverty to find shelter, food, care and support. The GreenLight Supportive Housing Program is run in partnership with VincentCare, and Salvation Army. We support people who have experienced chronic homelessness including rough sleeping to establish a home and community connection, provide specific interventions to sustain tenancies, and will support underlying health and other issues that may impact on people staying housed.

Your new role

As a full-time Supportive Housing Worker, you will spend your days working with a multi-disciplinary team that assists people to settle into housing, stay housed, and improve their quality of life. The role will see you working in the community and in people’s homes as you assist them to develop goals and navigate services that meet their needs to stay housed.

  • Relevant degree or above qualifications
  • Experience working with people experiencing complex needs and/ or homelessness and housing
  • A strength-based approach
  • Resilience, flexibility and adaptability
  • Creative outcome focused attitude
