The role will be based in our busy Preston op shop, working from Tuesday to Saturday every week. The purpose of this position is to oversee the daily operations of the op shop. The role will also require managing and developing staff and a committed and supportive team of volunteers.
A typical day for a store coordinator in Preston involves working closely with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, receiving donations from the public, sorting them to identify what can be resold, pricing those items and displaying them for sale on the shop floor. By providing and modelling high standards of customer service you would be responsible for constantly building relationships with donors, volunteers and customers.
This vital role requires someone with high energy, “hands-on” approach and safety focus would allow you to lead by example in manual handling and the more physical aspects of accepting, sorting and processing donations; driving and contributing to the operations of our stores. You would be a key contributor to the success of our op shops. You would also be required to work autonomously, as well as creating a fantastic culture and atmosphere within the store.
