As our Digital Communication Officer, you will work within the Communication and Advocacy team to share inspiring and educational stories across our digital channels and engage audiences more deeply with the work of Sacred Heart Mission.
You will also support the team to maintain the integrity of Sacred Heart Mission’s brand and contribute to advocating on issues that are relevant to the organisation, such as affordable housing and social inclusion.
A key part of your role is to manage our social media editorial calendar and create compelling content for our social media channels (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Workplace by Meta). You will write copy, take and edit photos and develop graphics and videos. You proactively monitor our digital platforms for media mentions and respond to comments and questions from supporters and clients.
To ensure our website is up to date and accessible, you will create web content, optimise the site for search engines (SEO) and address any functionality needs.
As the Digital Communication Officer, you will also design and manage our monthly newsletter, Heartbeat, and other email campaigns and coordinate advertising campaigns on Google Ads and across social media.
To help the team evaluate and further optimise their communication, you regularly measure and report on digital performance and trends.
