Your new role

As the Administration Officer you will be working within a Trauma Informed framework and inline with the Sacred Heart Mission philosophy, you will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming, safe and comfortable front of house experience for our residents, who have a history of homelessness, disadvantage, trauma and mental illness.

In your new role, you will be constantly engaging with the residents and assisting the Facility Manager with the day to day operations of the business.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Rostering of staff
  • Time sheet authorisation
  • New staff onboarding
  • Assisting staff with administration duties
  • Accounts payable – authorise & process
  • Authorise and process petty cash and bank card transactions
  • Responding to all residents queries
  • Assisting Residents with their finances

Your day-to-day

A typical day will involve:

  • Meeting residents needs, requests throughout the day
  • Replacing staff on roster
  • Planning rosters for future weeks
  • Welcoming Visitors
  • Liaising with Care staff - for example, residents upcoming appointments
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Liaising with finance department, People and Culture and ensuring timesheets are approved in a timely manner

We're looking for someone

  • With a current COVID-19 vaccination certificate or equivalent
  • Motivated, keen to learn, team focused and with strong interpersonal skills
  • Organised, can manage time effectively and is able to work independently
  • Demonstrates compassion, initiative and an understanding of confidentiality
  • Who will embrace the Values of Sacred Heart Mission
  • With previous experience in the Aged Care Sector (desirable)
  • With experience using Humanforce Time Management system (preferred)
  • Who is fully Covid-19 vaccinated including their third vaccination
