About the role!

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Support Coordinator (NDIS) to implement and coordinate individualised supports and services for clients with NDIS plans.

Your other main responsibilities include:

  • Assist high and complex need clients to implement strategies to access supports and services including funded supports, community, mainstream and informal
  • Negotiate solutions with multiple stakeholders to assist clients to build capacity and reliance.
  • Resolve points of crisis for the client and ensure a consistent delivery of service during these times.
  • Record and maintain NDIS client records.
  • Undertake any required reporting requirements to NDIA.
  • Ensure all NDIS services are provided with the appropriate NDIS legislation, guidelines and funding framework.
  • Maintain regular, positive communication and a working relationship with all external stakeholders

Performance Indicators:

Success will be tracked and measured in the following key areas:

  • Ability to attract and retain the targeted population of NDIS customers.
  • Customer satisfaction at least meeting specific standards.
  • Service quality and performance outcomes being consistently achieved.
  • Performance that meets financial and efficiency KPIs of Specialist Support Coordination

This position is full time.

Who are you?

You will possess the below key attributes:

  • A tertiary qualification in one of the below disciplines:
    • Psychology
    • Occupational Therapy
    • Social Work
    • Speech Pathology
    • Developmental education
    • Social and /or health science
  • Membership with a regulatory body relevant to the tertiary degree (e.g. AASW, AHPRA)
  • Working Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health work and a sound understanding of psychosocial recovery within a human services context.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to link with a range community, funded and mainstream services.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and interpersonal.
  • Strongly demonstrated ability to plan, organise and manage one’s own workload.
  • Ability to operate within organisational and legislative guidelines, procedures and policies.
