An exciting opportunity exists for experienced OT to deliver quality sessions to community health and aged care clients in and around Gisborne region. Working with a multidisciplinary team you will be involved in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of care including recommendations of aids, equipment and home modifications. Working with clients of all ages this role will offer variety and working across spectrum of health and welfare services.

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Registration with the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists
• Knowledge of current HACC policy framework
• Knowledge of the HACC Active Service Model directions
• Experience in the supervision of Allied Health Assistants
• Knowledge of legislation relevant to your role, including Accreditation
• Demonstrated analytical, written & verbal skills (English)
• Demonstrated Initiative & ability to work innovatively & unsupervised, both independently & within a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to liaise across the full spectrum of health and welfare services
• Demonstrated ability to identify, plan and implement new service strategies
• Evidence of flexibility in approach to service delivery

Desired Knowledge, Expertise and Skills:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience, across a range of ages & preferably in community health or a community-based setting
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
• Computer literacy
• Evidence of commitment to continuous quality improvement and professional development
• Evidence of ability to develop strong working relationships with a range of people both internal and external to the organisation
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for participating in the development of innovative models of care
