We have a full-time role working 38 hours per week. The role is based in Cockburn, it may be required to travel between Ruah offices.
This position is until 30 June 2021.
For nearly 60 years Ruah has been transforming the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our community through services in the areas of housing and homelessness, family and domestic violence and mental health. Our staff go boldly toward not just helping people who are homeless but ending homelessness. Ending domestic violence. Changing the lives and creating opportunities for people experiencing mental health issues. Ruah chooses to work with the most vulnerable and challenged because it makes a difference.
The Community Worker position offers support, either face to face or over the telephone, to young people and their families aged 12-25 years who have experienced a first episode of psychosis and who are supported by the Early Psychosis Youth Centre (EPYCentre). The Community Worker is expected work autonomously and to collaborate with Health Service Providers to develop functional recovery support interventions for these young people and their families which are consistent with best practice standards and evidence-based care and are in line with the strategic direction and vision for the EPYCentre.
The ideal candidate will have an interest and experience in the provision of person-centred case management support to young people with serious mental health issues and is expected to manage a full caseload.
