RSPCA NSW is committed to the care and welfare of animals, providing extensive professional facilities, including fully equipped veterinary hospitals and a state-wide shelter network, with hundreds of staff across NSW to care for animals.

Our Fundraising Team is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Gifts in Wills Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Gifts in Wills, you will be responsible for providing strategic analysis and insights on our fundraising and supporter data.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Develop relationships with a portfolio of Gifts in Wills supporters through the implementation of a stewardship program (including phone calls, visits, mailings and events), deepening the connection to RSPCA NSW
  • Coordinate, implement and monitor prospective and acquisition campaigns and responses, including telemarketing, direct mail and digital to build a sustainable Gifts in Wills pipeline
  • Support the Senior Manager, Gifts in Wills to create inspiring materials and personalisation of donor communications, including handwritten notes and tailored reports, aimed to uplift and retain gifts in Wills supporters
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of communications with donors and their preferences on the donor database
  • Maintain the supporter recognition program honouring donors and their families who have left a gift to RSPCA NSW
  • Support the creation of collateral that positively promotes gifts in Wills
  • Support all operations of Planned Giving (Gifts in Wills and Major Giving) department, including, but not limited to, events and communications
  • Maintain streamlined processes to maximise return on investment

To be successful in this role candidates will need the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in not-for-profit, fundraising, communications, marketing or equivalent
  • Experience in meeting operational plans
  • Proven experience producing a range donor solicitation material
  • Event coordination experience
  • Experience in CRM
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively listen, negotiate and show diplomacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to provide excellent donor/customer care
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Analysis, problem-solving and creative skills
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise workload and be self-driven
  • Ability to effectively manage complex, sensitive, and confidential information
