We are seeking a passionate part-time support worker (every Tuesday and alternate Saturday) for our client who lives in Strathfield South.

You are ethical, self-motivated and committed to making a difference for people with disability. You are focused on empowering clients with choice and control. You have exceptional customer service, problem-solving skills and advocacy skills.

Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre has over 40 years’ experience in working with our stakeholders to create opportunities for people to be themselves in the community. We operate a range of support services for people with disabilities on a 1:1 basis as well as for group activities. Our aged care programs include domestic support (light household tasks, dusting, vacuuming, etc), in-home respite and support to access social activities.

About you:

• Willingness to work 1-1 with a client with a disability
• Must be a person with a long term commitment
• Willingness to swim on a regular basis with the clients
• Previous experience in a similar role an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of WH&S principles
• A current Australian form of photo ID or International passport
• A National Police Criminal Record check from within the last 12 months
• A current Working with Children check
• A current First Aid and/or CPR certificate
