Position Overview

The Fundraising & Partnerships Manager is a newly created position with Roundabout Canberra - a not-for-profit which provides essential baby and children’s items to over 90 social services agencies in the ACT and surrounding region, helping over 2000 children per year.

We are looking for an experienced, energetic fundraiser. This role will provide strategic direction across fundraising and partnerships, as well as being very hands on to drive and deliver the program. The candidate should be a confident, capable individual who thinks creatively to achieve fundraising outcomes for Roundabout Canberra.

This role will be responsible for developing an annual Fundraising Plan for Roundabout Canberra, incorporating community fundraising, corporate support, sponsorships, partnerships, and both online physical fundraising events.

The Fundraising & Partnerships Manager reports directly to the CEO of Roundabout Canberra.

The role is part-time, with flexible working hours within the range of 15-25 hours per week (with prior agreement). The location of work is flexible, subject to agreement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create an annual fundraising plan incorporating community fundraising, corporate support, sponsorships and partnerships, and physical events, working with key staff and volunteers to deliver components of the plan.
  • Create a donor management plan and Regular Giving plan to ensure donors are appropriately looked after
  • Establish a Corporate Sponsorship and Partnerships Program to meet financial targets for corporate financial donations
  • Organise and facilitate online fundraising campaigns
  • Implement and utilise CRM ICT solution (Salesforce) for fundraising activities
  • Organise and facilitate fundraising events and provide support as required to events and activities fundraising on behalf of Roundabout.
  • Management of a monthly newsletter for donors
  • Attend and speak at events to engage donors and develop relationships
  • Identify suitable grants and work with volunteers and the CEO on the completion of these applications.

Key competencies:

  • Essential:
    • A relevant tertiary qualification (Communications/Marketing/Business) and/or relevant experience
    • Experience in the fundraising and the not-for-profit sector
    • Capacity to take initiative and think strategically in order to achieve goals
    • Organised and detail oriented
    • Outstanding communication skills, with demonstrated success building and maintaining relationships internally and externally, strong written communication abilities and experience with social media.
    • Willingness to work as part of a team and share information and expertise
    • Ability to work under pressure, react to changes in the environment and solve problems.
  • Desired:
    • Experience in using Salesforce or similar CRM database.
