Shoalhaven Women’s Resource Group trading as Rosa Co-ordinated Care (“RoCC”) invites expressions of interest from suitably experienced professionals to assist them with identifying and applying for grants and alternate sources of funding.

About RoCC

Rosa Co-Ordinated Care is a program of the Shoalhaven Women’s Resource Group (SWRG), which works with women leaving prison or rehabilitation to assist them in re-entering the local community. Our case-workers provide a range of services and programs enabling women to achieve self-determination (including some temporary accommodation).

RoCC is respected as a leading and sustainable service that empowers women who have become disenfranchised, to lead fulfilling lives.

We aim to do this by:

  • Working from a woman-centered, strengths-based approach underpinned by evidence-based practice
  • Assisting women to build social networks that will support and allow them to contribute to their community
  • Building the capacity of women to be self-advocates and advocating on their behalf where necessary
  • Raising awareness of issues impacting on women’s ability to achieve self- determination
  • Working collaboratively with other service providers

Services Required

The RoCC program is funded by the Department of Communities and Justice, under their Specialist Homelessness Services Stream. The SWRG Board wants to diversify funding sources, to ensure the long-term sustainability of the program.

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced professionals to provide the following services:

  • identify funding sources and grants, from government, philanthropic and private sources;
  • prepare applications and proposals for these funding sources, in collaboration with the manager of RoCC and the Board.

Project Duration and Length

The project duration and scope will be agreed between the successful applicant, the manager and Board of RoCC. Initially, it is envisaged that you will need to spend 1-2 days per week with the organisation understanding its work, current funding arrangements and preparing a project plan for work going forward. After this initial period, work is likely to be 1 day per week for the duration of the project. Working conditions are flexible and there may be scope for working from home.

A position description is attached.
