This position is responsible for managing Road to Refuge fundraising efforts and partnerships. As Fundraising Partnerships Officer you will build partnerships and raise funds for Road to Refuge’s programs and campaigns. By developing new revenue streams you will help ensure the future sustainability of the organisation.
Building and maintaining relationships with funders and donors
Overseeing in-person fundraising events
Overseeing online fundraising efforts e.g. digital fundraising campaigns and crowd-funders
Ensuring fundraising efforts occur in line with Road to Refuge’s ethical fundraising policy
Exploring and developing more diverse and sustainable income streams for Road to Refuge
Organising and leading monthly Fundraising meetings at Road to Refuge
Writing grants, funding proposals and impact reports
The Fundraising Partnerships Officer may also play a role in supporting the Director in:
Developing and updating budgets
Reporting requirements, e.g. acquittals
Passion for social justice and commitment to the Road to Refuge vision and mission
Knowledge of the refugee sector and issues affecting people seeking asylum in Australia
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work well with others
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Good communication and storytelling skills
Demonstrated commitment to Road to Refuge’s values and mission
