About the Role

Full time, 80k base salary plus super and salary packaging benefits.

The IT Systems Engineer is a senior technical role and an integral part of the Flying Doctors Corporate Services team. Responsible for managing ICT infrastructure, applications and providing technical support to both internal and external stakeholders, the successful applicant will undertake both BAU as well as project work with a strong focus on security management. This role is currently a work-from-home role whilst under pandemic restrictions, however will require bi-monthly travel across the state to provide support to regionally located branches when restrictions ease, therefore a drivers licence will be essential.

About You

• An experienced IT Systems Engineer, you will be able to demonstrate your experience in successful end-to-end project delivery.
• You display a mature attitude and can work remotely and independently without supervision.
• As a flexible thinker, you have highly developed troubleshooting and problem solving skills and can demonstrate patience and grace when dealing with end users.
• You understand and value the idea of teamwork, you can demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills and work cohesively within a small and supportive team.
• You have a passion for helping others and understand the mission of the Flying Doctors, and as such are able to demonstrate a high degree of presentation and professionalism in your daily dealings with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Install and manager server, network infrastructure and telephony systems across our branches in VIC, TAS, ACT and parts of NSW.
• Monitor performance of physical and virtual servers and participate in capacity planning.
• Re-engineer current systems to fit new business needs.
• Provide level 2 & 3 service desk escalation support.
• Security managements including proactive maintenance and immediate investigation of alerts.
• Manage desktop and laptop PC’s including software applications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant tertiary education in IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• ITIL, MCSA and MCSE will be highly regarded.
• Experience in enterprise-wide security management.
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise-wide OS and software application management including SOE, UAT, deployment and patching.
• Experience with AWS.
• Demonstrated experience with Windows PowerShell scripting for process and system automation.
• Proven ability to work with Office 365 administration tools (Exchange Online, Sharepoint, OneDrive for Business, Azure AD).
• Strong demonstrated experience working with SharePoint in a hybrid cloud environment.
