Remote / Work from Home
Rewild is a strategic sustainability consultancy based in Melbourne, helping organisations with sustainability measurement, strategy, design, communication and education. We take a step-by-step approach to defining both the big-picture and day-to-day detail of what sustainability means for each organisation we work with.
We are unique in our holistic approach, bringing together Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) services and Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) to enable organisations to set and deliver clear strategies to improve their environmental and social impact, including decarbonising their products, services, operations and/or buildings.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sustainability Consultant to join our growing business. The role will involve assisting the organisations we work with to improve their approach to managing ESG issues, with a particular focus on helping clients to measure and manage their climate impacts. This will involve building carbon accounting skills and working on carbon reduction strategies.
While pre-existing experience in carbon accounting is not essential, you must understand basic climate science and challenges and it is strongly preferred that you have some existing experience with carbon accounting or another form of data analytics/management. If you don’t have existing skills in carbon accounting but you have a passion and appetite to learn and build your skills in this area (in a supported environment) and love data – then you are encouraged to apply.
This role may also require you to work on broader ESG issues and workstreams such as assisting with stakeholder engagement activities, analysing ESG risks and developing holistic ESG strategies for our clients.
We are in business to help make the world a better place. Rewild was inspired by the notion that it is no longer enough for organisations to just do less harm. We have reached a moment where all of us have a responsibility to do better – to create positive social and environmental outcomes while doing business – to regenerate the ecosystems within which we operate.
We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, including race, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
