  • DAYS: 20 hours per week, over 3 days per week

As the public face of Reverse Garbage, our retail team needs to share our vision of inspiring people to make reuse their first choice. Our retail team needs to exude enthusiasm for our cause and be confidently able to encourage people to think beyond the intended use of a resource to consider alternative uses.

You will complete training for your Retail Cert2 on the job for the period of the traineeship with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

To support the retail operation of Reverse Garbage by providing customer service and sales assistance to our diverse range of customers.

Retail team duties:

  • Assist with customer service and sales to retail customers
  • Assist customers with advice and service on reuse options for materials in the warehouse
  • Keep the counter and entrance clean and tidy
  • Assist in restocking and sorting materials, as required
  • Assist with arranging displays of stock
  • All duties related to cash handling in the retail customer services role as per retail procedures
  • Assist with stock pricing
  • Following retail procedures as developed and approved by the Creative Director and the Chief Executive officer

Other duties related to retail customer service as directed by the Creative Director.

EXPERIENCE

This is an entry level position. Recent school leavers are encouraged to apply. Experience is not required, however an interest in retail and sustainability is expected.

  • General duties related to cash handling in the retail customer services role as per retail procedures

  • Participate as part of the staff team at all times
  • Fulfil obligations under the RG Code of Conduct
  • Work closely with retail, operations and administration staff

WORKPLACE HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Ensure a safe workplace in the retail area for both workers and customers
  • Promote safety and safe work practices
  • Identify potential hazards in the workplace
