Fundraising Manager

Reporting to the CEO, this three day per week role (0.6 FTE) is responsible for managing our international partnerships, including finding other funding streams and diversifying the organisation’s income.

Success in this role will be measured by increasing the revenue of Results International (Australia), positive partnership building with potential donors and other stakeholders, and a growing and diversified base of donors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and oversee Results’ fundraising activities and investigate avenues for expansion.
  • Execute Results’ fundraising strategy.
  • Contribute to the strategic, financial and operational planning of the organisation including the development of relevant grant proposals and budgets.
  • Represent Results externally and effectively contribute to the international network within which we work.
  • Support Results’ efforts to build a sustainable organisation through increasing our brand recognition in communications, events and playing the lead role in actions to increase Results’ funding base, including identifying donors and writing successful grant applications.
  • Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of our work and impact, and donor reporting.
  • In conjunction with the Grassroots Engagement Coordinator, develop strategic and appropriate fundraising resources and actions for Results volunteers.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person who is passionate about the work of Results and aligned with our values, goals and objectives.

An experienced fundraiser with experience with grants, you know how to engage donors and get people on board with a social cause and to take action.

A persuasive communicator, you will have the ability to engage new people and organisations and increase their awareness of the work of Results, making others excited about being a part of the change we create.

It’s essential that you’re able to be flexible and adaptable and pull up your sleeves and work in other areas on occasion to support the wider team.

ESSENTIAL

  • Experience in expanding revenue for not for profits.
  • Experience working on appeals and fundraising events.
  • Experience working with grants and an understanding of reporting requirements and/or experience fundraising through appeals, corporate giving and sponsorships, bequests or events.
  • An understanding of the Australian fundraising landscape and the different players and opportunities.
  • Have great negotiation and communication skills (both verbal and written) and be a comfortable public speaker.
  • Experience dealing with donors and managing expectations.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines and respond to changing priorities quickly and flexibly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team and across a number of locations.
  • Proven ability to seek out opportunities and act on them.

DESIRABLE

  • An understanding of advocacy and how it leads to systemic change. Knowledge of global overseas aid and development.
  • Experience with donor database management.
  • Proficient at using digital tools (for example Excel, Slack, Zoom, Mailchimp) and a willingness to learn new programs and ways of working.

This is a 0.6 Full Time Equivalent position (ideally three days per week but we can be flexible about this) based at our office in North Sydney with some work from home. A competitive salary will be offered to the right person, and, as a registered charity, Results employees are entitled to salary packaging thereby reducing their tax liability and increasing their take home pay.
