ABOUT US

Results International (Australia) is part of a global network of organisations working to bring an end to poverty. Results has been operating in Australia for 35 years through a combination of staff led and volunteer driven advocacy at a grassroots, national and global level.

We work with parliamentarians, the media and members of the community to influence political decisions that will bring an end to extreme poverty. This includes pushing for an increase in Australia’s overseas aid budget and increased pledges to multilateral bodies that work on global health and poverty alleviation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Starting at an exciting time in Results Australia’s evolution, the Campaigns and Communications Officer is an integral part of our team.

Taking the Results brand to new heights, Results’ Campaigns and Communications Officer is responsible for developing and delivering whole of organisation marketing strategies to raise awareness of need, promote our work, and drive growth, engagement and impact.

This role is varied, supporting the delivery of activities which support our campaigns, advocacy, and fundraising. You will be responsible for content development for our online, print and social media channels, and you will provide support for our PR and media activities. You will also have the opportunity to lead on key events for Results Australia. This role is perfect for someone who loves a challenge, is innovative, ambitious, driven to succeed and passionate about making a difference for the millions of people living in poverty.

You will bring strong written communication skills and creative flair to the role. We are looking for a wordsmith and someone who loves delivering innovative, engaging and compelling content which is tailored for the medium and audience. You will have an excellent eye for detail and consistently strive to make our communications stand out from the crowd.

The role is 0.8 FTE (28.8 hours a week).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Results communications (approximately 70%)

  • Develop inspiring, compelling and innovative content for all communication platforms, reflecting Results work, brand and values.
  • Build Results’ social media reach and impact.
  • Develop engagement journeys for Results Australia’s advocates and supporters to drive engagement, brand awareness, brand preference and brand loyalty.
  • Manage the website on a day-to-day basis, including uploading new content, ensuring the navigation functions and layout is optimal, and all website content is on-brand.
  • Regularly review and track Results’ website usage and social media reach.
  • Develop and manage Results’ monthly e-newsletter, blogs and other communications as needed.
  • Provide media and PR support to Results’ CEO.

Support key campaigns, events and fundraising (30%)

  • Develop and implement a communication framework for Results’ campaigns and activities.
  • Develop engaging and inspiring digital content to support Results’ fundraising events, activities and appeals.
  • Lead on the planning and delivery of key Results’ events including, as examples, Light Up Red for TB and the annual Leadership Awards event.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • 2+ years communications experience across communications, marketing, media and/or social media.
  • Previous experience or knowledge in delivering and measuring campaigns across digital platforms, specifically Facebook and Google.
  • Experience developing innovative and engaging social content plans for a range of audiences.
  • Exceptional written and strong oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced computer skills and expertise in using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and Twitter) as well as MailChimp and WordPress.
  • Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of initiative with the ability to work autonomously.

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or a related field.
  • Experience communicating about advocacy.
  • Experience in Google Ads and Google Analytics.
  • Graphic design experience.
