Remember The Wild is looking for a talented media professional to join our team of nature-lovers and help us create compelling films about the natural world. We’ve got big plans for the future and need the assistance of a skilled storyteller to help us bring our vision to life.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and creative professional seeking to contribute to a cause and produce meaningful content.

The role starts at 0.8 FTE/ 69k pa with potential for greater remuneration as our organisation grows.

The role is advertised at 0.8 FTE, however, more or fewer hours per week are negotiable.

Our mission

Remember The Wild is Australia’s first nature connection charity. We aim to improve the health of both society and the environment by facilitating stronger connections to nature for communities and individuals around Australia.

Position responsibilities:

  • Generating internal productions content to advertise Remember The Wild and help us achieve our goals; including:
    • Leading and supporting the development of scripts and storylines, and
    • Shooting and editing video, photo, and audio content for publication online
  • Pursuing and winning fee-for-service work for Remember The Wild’s Productions Team
  • Managing productions projects and team members, including:
    • Liaising with clients,
    • Generating and sending quotes and invoices
    • Coordinating and paying staff and subcontractors, and
    • Shooting and editing work for clients
  • Managing Remember The Wild’s productions administration and resources, including:
    • Data storage,
    • Document creation and filing, and
    • Software and equipment procurement and maintenance

Key selection criteria:

  1. 5-10 years of work experience in media production
  2. Bachelor degree or similar in a field related to visual media production
  3. Advanced working knowledge of, and experience with, Adobe Creative Cloud software - particularly Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition
  4. High level knowledge of and experience with video production equipment, including cinema cameras, audio recording equipment, and monitoring equipment
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to target communications for a variety of audiences
  6. A high level of self-motivation and ability to work effectively under limited supervision or independently well as contribute to the team.
  7. Excellent time management and organisational skills
  8. Passion for nature connection and environmental conservation
