This is a caring role like few others.
It’s an opportunity for the Support Workers to share home live in arrangements, in order to provide family style support for two intellectually disabled adults, a sister and a brother.
Both adults are polite, thoughtful and sociable, have part time work and both receive support for community engagements.
You will complement the established support team and provide assistance with:
The newly built property is 15 minutes from the city and provides separate accommodation for the Live In Support Worker/s.
This may be an opportunity for an individual or a couple.
You are a capable and caring person who is willing and available to enter into a live-in mutually beneficial arrangement, either by yourself or with a partner who is also suitable to be part of the support team. You are interested in providing support on an ongoing basis and preferably have previous experience supporting adults living with an intellectual disability. You are someone who is willing to commit on an ongoing basis.
Previous experience in supporting adults living with intellectual disability is definitely an advantage but the willingness to learn, empathy, resilience and a genuine desire to be part of this team is much more important.

Our clients are a brother and sister who live independently. Both are quite competent and capable in many areas however they also have varying needs which require ongoing support.
With the level of support and guidance they have received so far in life, they have thrived. With continued guidance, protection, and safeguards, both have the potential and willingness to maintain and further develop their daily living skills and thus continue to enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle in a safe environment.
