About Red Dust

We are a well established Australian not-for-profit organisation working in remote Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory. We sit, walk and work alongside community leaders, elders, young people and families with a focus on improving health and wellbeing outcomes. We are a small but passionate team across three locations (Alice Springs, Darwin & Melbourne) and we are looking for someone who shares our vision and can help us write the next chapter of growth for our organisation.

The role

You will be a key member of the Red Dust Team supporting the day to day administration of the organisation in our Melbourne office. It is a varied role, providing you exposure to all areas of the business. You will be a critical support primarily to the Business Operations Manager, Director of Fundraising and Philanthropy and the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service - fielding and responding to incoming enquiries.
  • Support the Business Operations Manager with monthly financial management and reporting.
  • Organising travel for staff and board and, where required, support program coordinators with remote trip planning and logistics.
  • Appointment setting and scheduling meetings.
  • Support our growing cultural awareness program by organising sessions with our partners and facilitators.
  • Support the organisation of our Annual Golf Day fundraiser and other events that may arise.
  • Oversee our office administrative duties.
  • Provide support to staff members and fulfill ad-hoc tasks as directed.

What you’ll bring

  • We are looking for an all-rounder and someone who has an eye for detail.
  • You’ll have experience working in similar administrative support roles.
  • Able to manage your time well and have exceptional organisational skills.
  • You’re a confident communicator who is proactive and keen to focus on the solution rather than the problem.
  • A proven ability working with software including Google workplace (G-suite) or MS office suite.
  • You have the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • And a passion to make a positive impact in society.
  • We want someone willing to do what it takes to achieve the desired outcome.
  • You’ll need to be flexible and agile as we pride ourselves on being able to adapt to dynamic environments.
