The organisation

Our client, the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand Ltd (TSANZ) is a health promotion charity whose mission is to lead, support and enable all health workers and researchers who aim to prevent, cure, and relieve the burden, disability and mortality caused by respiratory conditions.

The TSANZ is the only Peak Body in Australia that represents all health professionals working in all fields of respiratory health and has a membership base of over 1800 individuals.

The TSANZ is a leading provider of evidence-based guidelines for the treatment of respiratory conditions in Australia and New Zealand, undertakes professional education and training, is responsible for significant research administration, and coordinates an accredited respiratory laboratory program

The role

You will be required to provide office administration support to the CEO and senior leadership team and liaise and work with the broader TSANZ team to deliver timely and quality outputs for a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include

  • Providing administrative support and assistance as required across all functional areas
  • Engage with- and respond to TSANZ members, stakeholders and the general public
  • Assist with providing secretariat support and stakeholder management for the TSANZ Board and various Committees
  • Assist with organising meetings, preparing agendas, minutes and following up action items, collating and distributing papers
  • Assist with data entry and accounts
  • Ensure content on the TSANZ website is maintained.

The successful applicant must have

  • 1-3 years’ administration coordination experience (secretariat or project management support desirable)
  • The ability to multi-task, excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to deliver quality outputs free from errors
  • Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and proactively
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
