Remote / Work from Home
We're looking for a self-directed, team-player with a track record of creating strong policy to contribute to national consultations and experience in government relations to increase engagement and funding.
Asthma Australia helps people to live their life. To breathe easy; and not just to live, but to have a full and empowered life, striving for goals and achieving them. A life without limits.
This role contributes to Asthma Australia implementing a strategic approach to policy activity by focused research, analysis and policy development on selected issues including national health policy reforms and pharmaceutical and therapeutic goods regulation. You will contribute to policy direction and develop advocacy strategies to contribute to social change.
You will also identify strategies for maintaining or growing existing government funding and attracting new sources of government funding, leading this work in collaboration with the Programs team.
You are an organised problem solver who uses solid judgement to influence and negotiate. You enjoy a fast moving environment, you are quick to recognise road blocks and have systems in place to ensure your workload capabilities are realistic.
Asthma Australia is a team. Each individual is valued for their unique and diverse contribution to the whole. They know that in order to do good, they need to be great. They are bold, they think big and they inspire. Everything that they do is about empowering people with asthma to live life to the fullest. The team works hard, but also values life outside work. At Asthma Australia team wellbeing is important. Flexible working options, continuous learning and development opportunities and competitive salaries make Asthma Australia a great place to work.
In light of recent COVID-19 developments and in the interests of the health and wellbeing, all interviews will be conducted on-line via video link.
We will be reviewing applications daily, therefore, we encourage you to apply quickly. Shortlisting and interviews may take place prior to the advertised closing date.
Asthma Australia recognises Australia’s first peoples and values their cultural knowledge, strength and resilience in our work to improve the lives of people with asthma. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which Asthma Australia staff works and pay respect to Elders, past and present and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our community.
