  • RA Level 3 - 4, Salary Range $50,000 - $75,000 + Super. Starting salary will depend on experience and qualification

Reconciliation Australia will provide you with a unique experience working in the not-for-profit sector and liaising closely with individuals, senior executives and working groups from a range of other sectors. The role will enable you to play a key role in working within the Indigenous Governance Program, alongside other units within the organisation.

The Indigenous Governance Program Officer supports the delivery and implementation of the Indigenous Governance Program (IGP). These roles will drive key events such as the Indigenous Governance Awards in 2021, and work to deliver the Corporate Partnership Program. These roles will also participate in internal projects within the organisation, and will liaise with other units to refine the outcome and impact of the program.

The IGP team has two openings available for an Indigenous Governance Officer/Senior Officer. The successful candidates will be capable relationship managers with proven skills to engage a range of organisations (Indigenous-led, corporate, not for profit and government). They will also have a high level of understanding of and capacity to engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders.

About You

  • Your previous experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders, combined with your understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues, will qualify you to provide valuable advice to Program stakeholders.
  • Your exceptional communication and relationship building skills will enable you to form productive partnerships and maintain correspondence with key contacts.
  • You will be able to travel to meet with stakeholders, award nominees and alumni to different sites, representing both the Program and Reconciliation Australia.
