Job Summary:

The Events Project Manager is responsible for the planning and managing all of our events, including Connor’s Run. This will include online & ‘global’ (remote) events plus community events. This role must assist with event marketing, timeframes and budgets, networking, and delivery of event brief objectives.

This role must have a forward thinking "can-do" attitude to assist our Foundation in managing successful events that enhance our organisation's image as well as attract, engage and retain participants and maximise fundraising efforts. It is vital to be able to work well within a team environment including working with multiple volunteers.

Our brand personality is a vital component of our foundation and this role assists in amplifying the brand visibility through creativity, organisational skills and vision. This is an opportunity for someone to continue and enhance an already strong event calendar.

This role will demonstrate exceptional organisational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, and excellent time-management. The role will also improve the organisation's image, and effectively deliver on event objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Project management for all events, both physical and online, with a vision to enhance and improve already strong foundations

  • Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure efficient project management
  • Manage Connor’s Run event including a committee of 20+
  • Reporting to and working closely with the CEO and management team
  • Handling budgeting and invoicing with Finance Manager
  • Managing and integrating post-event debrief reports
  • Supporting sponsorship agreements with the Business Development Manager
  • Handling event logistics
  • Supporting branding and communication
  • Liaising and negotiating with vendors

Qualifications & Experience

Proven event management leadership experience

  • Project management experience
  • Communication and marketing skills
  • Experience in managing volunteers
  • Proficiency in various workflow software ie DropBox, Trello
  • Good leadership skills
  • Highly Organised
  • Multi-tasker
  • Good time management
  • Expert interpersonal skills
  • Risk management experience
  • Working With Children Check
