Relationships Australia WA is a leading provider of support services for individuals, families and communities which include specialist programs for men using violent, coercive and controlling behaviours and for women and children experiencing violence and abuse.

We are seeking an experienced trainer who is committed to ending violence against women and their children to join our dynamic team to develop new and innovative FDV professional development programs and resources. 

This is a part-time (2 or 3 days a week), 12-month position (with the possibility of becoming ongoing) with access to generous salary packaging and professional development opportunities.

Selection criteria:

• A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology or human services
• Significant experience in working with men, women and children within an FDV context
• Knowledge and understanding of FDV and its overlap with race, disability, sexuality and age  
• Capacity to work within a gendered understanding of FDV
• Experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of training for adult learners
• High level written and verbal communication skills
• Sound computer literacy and proficiency in use of Microsoft Office 

Key responsibilities:

• Provide professional consultation on training development and materials to organisations/workers in related fields
• Design, develop and deliver high quality training and materials relating to FDV for a range of audiences to support workforce development
• Ensure all training is evidence-based, high quality and up-to-date
• Review participant evaluation forms and incorporating participant feedback into training and training materials
• Participate in the development of FDV policies and procedures and in program and outcome evaluation
• Manage projects as requested by Senior Manager and Executive Director
