This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, suitably qualified and experienced manager at join our management team, with leadership responsibility of our centre managers, geographically located in South East Melbourne and regional Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager Operations, you will be responsible for the coordinated management of all RAV’s centres, outpost, outreach services across South East Melbourne and Victoria providing Family and Relationship Services and Family Law Services. You will manage, coach and develop Centre Managers and indirectly centre staff, providing an organisational response to centre operational issues and program areas. The Senior Manager Operations (SMO) will play a key role in ensuring RAV meets centre compliance obligations, KPI’s and organisational quality management accreditation. The SMO is also responsible for monitoring the overall financial performance of the Centres and supporting the Centre Managers to plan and manage their budgets.

The position provides guidance and oversight of the operational management capability of all centres providing Department of Social Services (DSS), Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) and other funded programs, to ensure the provision of high-quality clinical services in line with RAV’s strategic direction.

This role is based at our Camberwell office with frequent travel to Melbourne South East and regional Victoria. This is a permanent, full time, management position.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in management or related field and several years’ recent experience in a senior management position.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, experience at a senior level in operational management with the ability to link centre programs and activities with the sector, funding bodies and organisational strategic directions, achieving business outcomes consistent with contractual obligations.
  • Ability to set, implement, manage and report on budgets successfully.
  • Solid leadership skills and the demonstrated ability to engage others, identify opportunity for change and lead improvement initiatives, embrace organisational culture, plans, goals in line with strategic priorities.
  • A sound understanding of Family Law, counselling and mediation (preferable), and
  • Sound knowledge of the not for profit sector, DSS and DFFH government departments.

A competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $145k-$149k per annum, superannuation and access to salary packaging.
