About the role

Reporting to the General Manager Clinical Services, this role provides leadership for practice, policy and service development for Family Law services at RAV. The Practice Specialist Family Law leads the Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) clinical supervision group and manages an annual schedule of supervision and professional development for Senior FDR practitioners.

In this position, you will need to implement, develop, and perform a leading role in RAV’s strategic priorities, enhancing practice, program and service development of Family Law services. The role works alongside the Senior Advisor - Family Law, to provide clinical advice, secondary consultation to senior clinical staff in Family Law and support to RAV’s training team in relation to professional development.

This is a permanent, part-time vacancy, three (3) days per week (22 hours), with an occasional late night.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Law, Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution, Social Work or related which meets accreditation as an FDR Practitioner under regulation 5 and 6 of the Family Law Regulations (2008),
  • Registration as an FDR Practitioner by the Attorney-General’s Department,
  • Eligibility for membership of relevant professional association,
  • Demonstrated experience in the clinical supervision of FDR Practitioners,
  • Experience in the delivery of professional development and/or training would be highly regarded.
  • High level of IT competency preferred.

A competitive sector remuneration package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range pro-rata of $107,325 - $111,896 per annum, superannuation and access to PBI tax-free salary packaging.
