This is an exciting opportunity for motivated and experienced family violence practitioners to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Western, you will work in a collaborative manner with the Family Violence team across centres as well as with external partners. Service delivery must be consistent with the Family Safety Victoria ‘Minimum Standards 2018’ as per the No To Violence implementation guide. This role will primarily focus on the delivery of Men’s Behaviour Change Programs (MBCP) as well as undertaking assessments for those seeking to enter family violence programs and risk management of participants. There is also a component of Family Safety Support in this role.

We are seeking two experienced family violence practitioners to join our skilled team of family violence professionals at our Sunshine centre. We are offering fixed-term contracts for 12 months (with the possibility of extension) to the successful candidates. There are two (2) part-time positions available; one four (4) days per week and the other is covering maternity leave at three (3) days per week, both will include evening shifts to deliver MBC programs.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in social work, or a related social science discipline.
  • Completion of ‘No to Violence’ Graduate Certificate in Client Assessment and Case Management, (Male Family Violence), Swinburne University (preferred) or significant relevant group work experience.
  • Experience in the provision of high-quality assessments of individuals and families, where family violence is an identified risk.
  • Significant experience working with families affected by family violence.
  • Knowledge of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 and the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Management (MARAM) Framework and safety planning is highly desirable.

A competitive sector remuneration package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $84,583k - $90,672k (pro-rata) per annum, superannuation and access to PBI tax-free salary packaging.
