This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced administrative professional to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria.

Our services and programs, which are provided from 16 centres across Victoria, include counselling, family dispute resolution, relationship education, family violence services, mental health services, senior relationship services and professional training. About the role

Reporting to the Centre Manager Northern Melbourne, your day-to-day work will be supervised by our Client Service Coordinator. You will provide an efficient, welcoming first point of contact for clients and people contacting RAV about services and our Family Mediation and Counselling programs, responding in a helpful manner via phone and in person. You will provide organisational and administrative support to management and staff, undertake basic assessment of client service needs and manage the coordination, booking, data entry and processing of client appointments.

The successful candidate will be offered a permanent, full time position. The role is located across our two (2) centres in Greensborough. There is an expectation that the successful applicant will work one evening per week until 8pm on an ongoing basis.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Office administration certificate and/or previous experience in a similar administration capacity, preferably within a medical or client/customer work environment.
  • Proven experience answering high volume inbound calls, delivery of high-quality customer service, ideally within a medical or health care related environment.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of skill in dealing with clients with complex needs in a supportive, empathetic and effective manner.
  • Competent in the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to pick up new programs and business systems.
  • Previous experience working in a culturally diverse work environment is highly desirable.
