We are looking for three (3) experienced office all-rounders to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role working with staff who have been delivering high quality and effective client-focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria. The Bairnsdale and Wonthaggi roles are located within headspace centres, for which RAV is the Lead Agency.

About headspace

headspace is a national, youth centric mental health service. headspace works in partnership with young people their communities, businesses and a range of health professionals to support youth wellbeing. Together, we ensure young people feel acknowledged and safe, and have the tools to address their mental health issues. headspace was established by the Australian government in 2006. headspace centres provide early intervention mental health services to 12-25-year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. This covers core areas: mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Gippsland, your day-to-day work will be supervised by a Client Service Coordinator. You will provide an efficient, welcoming first point of contact for clients and people contacting RAV/headspace about services and programs, responding in a helpful manner via phone and in person. You will provide organisational and administrative support to management and staff, undertake basic assessment of client service needs and manage the coordination, booking, data entry and processing of client appointments.

We have three (3) casual positions available. The successful candidates will be required to complete work at the Traralgon centre and one (1) of RAV’s headspace centres located in Bairnsdale or Wonthaggi. For this role, candidates may also be rostered to work on Tuesday evenings (12pm to 8pm).

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Office administration certificate and/or previous experience in a similar administration capacity, preferably within a medical or client/customer work environment.
  • Proven experience answering high volume inbound calls, delivery of high-quality customer service, ideally within a medical or health care related environment.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of skill in dealing with clients with complex needs in a supportive, empathetic and effective manner.
  • Competent in the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to pick up new programs and business systems.
  • Previous experience working in a culturally diverse work environment is highly desirable.
