Our small team is collaborative, passionate and purpose driven. We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic professional to join our team and play a key role in building quality relationships within our community! This is a part time role, for 3 days per week.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Rare Birds Program Manager you will be responsible for managing the mentoring program for a number of key stakeholder clients. You will thrive on developing personal connections with mentors and mentees and ensuring mentoring partnerships are thriving. You will be rewarded by having a front row seat to transformative partnerships for female founders and emerging female leaders.

As the Community Manager you will bring your proven engagement experience to Rare Birds, activating the community through online events and social media platforms. You will be well connected within the startup or D&I ecosystem and engage and build on those relationships to support the Rare Birds community.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Onboard mentees and mentors into the mentoring program, creating detailed online profiles and ensuring participants are onboarded in a timely manner
  • Creating matches between mentor and mentees and ensuring mentoring cohorts are activated within relevant timelines
  • Conduct quarterly check-in calls with mentors and mentees during the program and provide feedback and testimonials to the Head of Marketing
  • Conduct end of program interviews with mentors and mentees
  • Manage and develop effective relationships with key client contacts and stakeholders
  • Create quarterly reports (with assistance of Head of Marketing) for each mentoring cohort
  • Work with the CEO and General Manager to manage the renewal process with the client
  • Assist on the development of Rare Birds programs, including assisting on grant proposals and other business development as instructed by the General Manager or CEO
  • Develop and execute quarterly plan for community events, utilising the mentor and ambassador pool of talent
  • Curate events that promote women in entrepreneurship and diversity and inclusion (online and in person)
  • Organise and host online and in person education content for mentee cohorts and the Rare Birds community
  • Promote events to the Rare Birds community and broader network, in partnership with the Head of Marketing
  • Create a quarterly report on events, collating survey data and identifying number of events held, number of attendees, demographic of attendees (eg mentors, mentees, corporate, entrepreneur, female, male, regional, urban), event topics with highest community engagement and lead generation
  • Leading and engaging the online Rare Birds community, on Facebook or other media platforms
  • Work collaboratively with the CEO, General Manager and Head of Marketing to identify and implement opportunities to increase the profile of Rare Birds
  • Keep up to date with diversity and inclusion data and insights to support Rare Birds’ strategy
  • Develop in-depth knowledge about the Everwise mentoring platform

POSITION REQUIREMENT

  • Minimum degree level qualification
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within a purpose driven or community environment
  • Strong facilitation and networking skills to build and manage diverse relationships
  • Demonstrated experience in organising and managing events and mobilising volunteers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time pressures and managing multiple tasks.

  • Salary of $75,000 (plus super) pro rata
