The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (the College) is the peak body for advancing patient care and clinical excellence in clinical radiology and radiation oncology. The College is responsible for driving appropriate, high quality and safe use of medical imaging and radiation oncology through training, assessment and accreditation of radiologists and radiation oncologists, maintenance of quality and standards, and strategies to ensure the workforce is sufficient to support population needs in Australia and New Zealand.

This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative and tenacious Senior Media and Communications professional with experience working across a broad range of media to join our Policy and Advocacy team. 

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the College’s media and communications strategy, whilst ensuring that our key policy advocacy messaging is platformed. In our digital spaces, you will handle the development of website content, as well as social media platforms (both strategy and content). You will be responsible for media monitoring and proactively identifying potential opportunities for the College in relevant media streams. 

You are known as a critical thinker, and an excellent communicator in verbal and written forms. Holding a relevant tertiary qualification (such as Communications, Public Relations, Journalism), you have a proven track record working across print media, as well as digital platforms and social media. You possess exceptional stakeholder management skills and foster high level relationships with internal and external collaborators.  

The successful applicant will be offered a two-year contract.
