The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (the College) is the peak body for advancing patient care and clinical excellence in clinical radiology and radiation oncology. The College is responsible for driving appropriate, high quality and safe use of medical imaging and radiation oncology through training, assessment and accreditation of radiologists and radiation oncologists, maintenance of quality and standards, and strategies to ensure the workforce is sufficient to support population needs in Australia and New Zealand.

We are seeking an experienced Policy Officer to join our Workforce Unit in a newly created role, to develop, implement and support the College’s consultation responses, policies, grant proposals and position papers across workforce related matters. Working closely with key internal and external stakeholders you will coordinate and drive responses and proposals to government, provide expertise and support to relevant chairs and committee members, as well as facilitating and coordinating the development of clear and accurate messaging, content and materials which clearly and accurately communicate activities and plans pertaining to workforce related activities both in Australia and New Zealand.  

You present as a highly motivated and experienced Policy professional, with relevant tertiary qualifications. You are known for your exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and attention to detail in your work. You have a proven track record of delivering policy briefings and have an innate capability to synthesise complex information from a range of sources. You will ideally have worked within a peak body or healthcare / education sectors and have a working knowledge of the Australian / New Zealand health systems. The successful candidate will be offered and initial two-year fixed term contract.
