The Family Safety Team (FST) Senior Caseworker position exists to provide client-centred, integrated, high-quality therapeutic casework/counselling/Men's Behaviour Change (MBC) sessions to RANSW FST clients. The position works as part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributes to program and service development, provides clinical supervision and informal support, and assist in promoting services to clients and stakeholders.

The Customer Services Division is responsible for the delivery of all programs and services ensuring customer and client satisfaction, achievement of service and strategic targets, and measurement of the outcome and impact of services to clients. The focus of this division is on:

  • Providing professional client-centred programs and services which are innovative and responsive to client needs
  • Providing supervision, training, and ongoing professional support and development to competent and accountable practitioners to ensure the delivery of quality services to clients
  • Achieving evidence-based positive client outcomes that meet organisational performance standards
  • Ensuring the collection and interpretation of data to evaluate the customer experience prior to, during, and following their contact with RANSW
  • Maximising available service delivery hours for the program through effective management of staffing and scheduling

The Practice Quality and Innovation Division is integral in providing key practice deliverables to the Customer Services division which include professional practice support; service development; service quality; and staff support and development.

  • Contract to 30/6/23
  • $46 per hour plus super plus salary packaging benefits

What you'll bring

  • A degree in social work, counselling, psychology, welfare, or health related services
  • Minimum 5-years’ experience in working with families that have experienced Family Violence. Counselling and casework experience with individuals and families, including MBC experience and Victim Survivor experience
  • Understanding of Family Safety practice and the issues that support collusion, coercion or cooperative, gender practice when working with men who use violence
  • Understanding of the long-term impact that Family Violence has on former/current partners and the children. Understanding of trauma informed care principles and implementation
  • Ability to provide quality therapeutic casework/counselling interventions that are person-centred, trauma-informed, strengths-based. Highly developed therapeutic skill base for assessment, engagement, case planning and working with people who have experienced loss, abuse, and trauma
  • Ability to provide individual and group clinical supervision and informal support and debriefing as required
