Safer Pathways is a phone based referral service to assist men who have experienced Domestic and Family Violence.

Your new role

As our Domestic Violence Worker, you will receive referrals from Police/NSW Justice Department and proactively contact with men who have recently experienced Domestic or Family Violence.

You will conduct phone based safety assessments, identify short term needs and refer clients onto appropriate services. Due to the high volume of clients needing our support to connect them with other services, typically our service is a one touch client contact. This will require you to work quickly, juggling multiple tasks and interruptions. There is no after-hours requirements.

  • Multiple positions available due to client demand
  • Part time (3 or 4 days) position in City, Penrith or Dee Why
  • Contract to June 2021 with possibility of extension
  • $37.78 - $42.22 + super + salary packaging

About you

As a Intake Worker, Client Services Advisor in NFP or Case Worker, you will have:

  • Ability to conduct phone based assessments to make appropriate referrals to ensure client safety,
  • Ability to respond to complex referrals involving liaising with police and reporting child protection concerns,
  • Experience working with domestic family violence with an understanding of the needs of men who have experienced DFV,
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume phone based referral program,
  • Degree qualification in social work, counselling, psychology or related,
  • Strong professional boundaries and self-care practices; when we are at our best, we give our best.
