Your new role

As our Case Worker for the Brokerage program, you will support the Stolen Generations, Forgotten Australians, Former Child Migrants living in New South Wales, Care Leavers 26 years and older who were in the ‘care’ of the state in New South Wales to access the wellbeing supports they need. Our program supports the costs of wellbeing services such as medical, dental, optical etc.

Critical to your success will be your ability to build trust with people who have experienced being let down by services and the system, how you create a safe place for healing without over-promising and your trauma informed approach.

The details

  • Part time position (3 days) in Harris Park
  • $37.90 - $42.22 + super + salary packaging / $73, 905 - $82,329 + super + packaging (pro-rata)

About you

As an experienced Case Worker or Social Worker you will have:

  • Experience providing complex case work support to people impacted by childhood trauma
  • Understanding of institutional care and Out-of-Home Care in Australia and the issues/ barriers faced by Forgotten Australians and Stolen Generations
  • Experience supporting those impacted by a range of additional vulnerabilities, eg mental health distress, and/or people with disabilities is an advantage
  • Trustworthy, compassionate and supportive approach and strong self-care practices
  • Impeccable professional boundaries; over-promising our clients will compound their trauma.
