Learning and Development Coordinator

We are seeking internal expressions of interest for a Learning and Development Coordinator role for 20 hours per week. Ideally this position is based in Sydney with at least 2 days in the office, however we will accept expressions of interest from other locations.

This role involves:

  • Working with the Learning and Development Manager to assist in the planning of online and in person learning and development programs for our volunteer mentors, external partners (e.g., corporates, education departments etc) and Raise employees
  • Update and maintain interactive engaging content for internal team members and our volunteer mentors
  • Facilitating internal learning programs for our employees and external learning programs for our volunteer mentors and partners.

About this Role

The Learning and Development Coordinator reports to the Learning and Development Manager with support from the broader People and Culture Team. The role will be based in Sydney.

The role also works closely and collaboratively with all teams within Raise Foundation and external stakeholders as required.

Roles and responsibilities

In this position, you will:

1. Learning / Training Design

  • Develop, update, and maintain interactive, engaging content (in person and online format) for our signature mentor training program
  • Update and maintain interactive and engaging online refresher training content for our returning mentors each year,
  • Develop and maintain interactive and engaging in person or online content for other learning programs deployed to the Raise team and our Corporate Partners.

2. Learning & Development Program Coordination

  • Support the Learning and Development Manager with the planning of learning and development programs, delivered in person or online,
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of Raise Foundation’s annual learning and development calendar,
  • Source innovative, cost-effective learning programs that are aligned to our key outcomes for people development at Raise,
  • Facilitate learning and development programs with support from the Learning and Development Manager,
  • Support adhoc People & Culture projects as required.

3. General Support to Team Members and Team Leaders

  • Coordinate the induction program for all new employees to Raise Foundation ensuring content is reviewed and updated frequently,
  • Support the Learning and Development Manager with presentations to the leadership team and other teams on training feedback, opportunity areas and changes to online and in person training content,
  • Assist with general L&D related queries (e.g., training proposals, enrolments into programs, requests for training).

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • Genuine interest in working with and supporting people
  • Relevant qualifications in a related field including Human Resources, Learning & Development, Training or Organisational Development
  • Prior experience in a similar learning and development coordination role
  • Prior experience facilitating and delivering learning programs either in person or online
  • Excellent organisation and coordination skills
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Warm and polite approach with people
  • Prior experience with learning management systems, and other technical platforms (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Moodle)
  • Experience as a Raise Mentor (ideal)
  • Completion and regular updates of Raise Mentor Training Course
  • Exceptional ability to show initiative and work in a team environment
  • Completion of Raise selection process including Youth Safety Checks, must hold a current Working with Children (Employee) Check and National Crime Check
