About the Role

The role of this position is to extract, remediate, and analyse client and management information contained in Relationships Australia Canberra & Region (RACR) databases, particularly the main Client Information System (CIS), Athena Penelope. The Senior Data Analyst will assist managers in obtaining and interpreting data to meet reporting requirements for new and existing contracts, assist with training staff on efficient and robust data entry, monitor trends in performance, undertake analysis projects which contribute to RACR’s understanding of its clients and services.

The Senior Data Analyst will report to the Director, Contract Accountability and work closely with the ICT Manager and the Manager, Research, Evaluation and Policy. The Senior Data Analyst will have supervisory responsibility for the Data Analyst.

This is an ongoing position available on full time basis, based in Deakin, ACT.

To be successful in this role, you are required to possess:

1. Tertiary qualifications in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degree, or Social Science degree with strong analytic component.
2. Experience in extracting and analysing data contained in an information management system using R (preferable), Python, SQL, SAS, Stata or other. Must be comfortable coding and using large datasets.
3. Demonstrated quantitative data analysis skills, including experience in organising, maintaining, remediating, extracting and analysing data and information contained in a CIS and/or other information management systems.
4. Demonstrated experience in using a mainstream business intelligence analytic tool like Tableau or Microsoft Power BI, regarding the creation of database queries, reports and dashboards

Salary & Benefits

The salary on offer is in the range of $90,441.52 to $95,758.42 per annum plus superannuation for full time. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), RACR employees also receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities, thus significantly increasing the value of your take-home pay.

According to the RACR Enterprise Agreement, the successful candidate will have access to generous leave provisions, annual leave loading, special paid leave during annual holiday shutdown period and flexible working arrangements.
