About the Role

The Commonwealth Government has funded Relationships Australia Canberra and Region (RACR) until June 2022 to provide counselling and support services for people with disabilities, their families, carers and others affected by the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disabilities. Our geographic coverage will be the ACT, Riverina and the NSW South Coast. This role will initially focus on establishing the new programme and providing ongoing leadership and coordination of the clinical team and some direct service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you are required to possess:

  1. An appropriate tertiary qualification in psychology, counselling or social work and membership or eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association.
  2. Strong skills and experience in undertaking psychosocial assessments, case planning and implementation and providing counselling.
  3. A proven track record in leading and coordinating a clinical team.
  4. An in-depth understanding of working with people with disabilities and trauma informed and person centred practice.

Salary & Benefits

The salary on offer is in the range of $87,505.28to $91,424.74 per annum plus superannuation for full time. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), RACR employees also receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities, thus significantly increasing the value of your take-home pay. Successful interstate candidates can expect reimbursement of relocation expenses.

According to the RACR Enterprise Agreement, the successful candidate will have access to generous leave provisions, annual leave loading, special paid leave during annual holiday shutdown period and flexible working arrangements.
