About the Role

This position strengthens the well-being of older adults experiencing, or likely to experience, abuse through intake, assessment, case management and the provision of counselling and other therapeutic interventions.

This is a fixed term contract until 30 June 2021 available on part time basis. 2 positions are available, 1 will be based in Deakin, ACT and the other will be based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.

To be successful in this role, you are required to possess:

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in social work, psychology or social sciences.
  • Strong skills and experience in undertaking psychosocial assessments, case management and providing counselling and other therapeutic interventions.
  • An in-depth understanding of family violence, elder abuse, ageing and ageing related issues.
  • Demonstrated capacity to relate well to clients and other stakeholders.

Salary & Benefits

The salary on offer is in the range of $84,242.14 to $87,176.86 per annum plus superannuation for full time. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), RACR employees also receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities, thus significantly increasing the value of your take-home pay.

According to the RACR Enterprise Agreement, the successful candidate will have access to generous leave provisions, annual leave loading, special paid leave during annual holiday shutdown period and flexible working arrangements.
