The role will be expected to provide brief intervention support to clients prior to allocation to Case Management. The role will deliver crisis response interventions, triage new referrals, engage in service planning, coordinate referrals, and work collaboratively with the Family Violence team to support risk assessment and planning. To provide interim support to women and women with children experiencing family violence.
You will need relevant experience within the Community Services Sector and demonstrate the ability to identify and assess family violence risk. Experience in working in crisis response initial assessments, including the ability to remain calm, positive and task focused. A solid understanding of the key legislative, policy, practice and theoretical frameworks associated with Family Violence. Mandatory qualifications are a tertiary qualification in Social Work/Social Sciences or other relevant fields.

To be eligible for appointment to this position you must undergo a satisfactory National Police Records Check and an international criminal history check if you have resided continuously in an overseas country for 12 months or more in the last 10 years; and hold a valid Working with Children Check and hold a current Victorian drivers licence.
