About the role:

The purpose of the ABC program is to provide the skills, tools and strategies in a group environment, encouraging young people to build positive connections with their families and the broader community.

The delivery of the program includes a case support/management component to adolescents who use violence in the home or are at risk of using violence in the home. Operating under a trauma informed framework, you will provide information and resources to educate and promote understanding of the impacts and effects of family violence.

About you:

Are you experienced in the delivery of group work in the youth or community sector? Do you have a passion for and comprehensive understanding of the impacts of family violence and developmental trauma on adolescents? Do you have the skills to work with high risk and difficult behaviours? Are you an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills that can be used to work effectively with adolescents and their families?
