About the role:

The Family Violence Refuge Support Worker is responsible for direct service delivery to women and children residing in the refuge and safe houses who are experiencing or escaping from family violence and to assist them to achieve the greatest possible degree of self-reliance and independence.

About you:

For this role you will need to have experience in family violence and an understanding of the social and political issues impacting on women and children escaping family violence, a demonstrated experience and knowledge of case management practices and frameworks. Qualification of Diploma or above in Community Services or social work.

To be eligible for appointment to this position you must undergo a satisfactory National Police Records Check and an international criminal history check if you have resided continuously in an overseas country for 12 months or more in the last 10 years; and hold a valid Working with Children Check and hold a current Victorian drivers licence.
