QPASTT is Queensland's specialist trauma recovery agency for refugees and people seeking asylum. Our vision is for refugee survivors of persecution to live lives liberated from the harms of torture, trauma and human rights injustice. We work throughout Queensland. Our drive is to contribute to the Queensland community in ways that make it a better place to belong for refugee survivors of torture and trauma.
We are looking for a Regional Coordinator who is committed to our vision and mission and is passionate about nurturing our regional team to deliver impactful support that is responsive to the trauma recovery needs of people from refugee backgrounds living in regional Queensland.
We are looking for a Coordinator who is passionate about healing, belonging, thriving and justice for refugee survivors of torture and trauma. You will be compassionate and courageous in finding ways to engage and empower marginalised children, youth, adults and family systems. We value creativity, adaptability and the ability to keep up to date with fast changing social trends and intervention opportunities in the context of a busy team. You will be committed to supporting our workers to achieve their potential. You will contribute to the resolution of work-related matters by being honest, approachable and responsive. We believe in cultural respect. We are looking for a Coordinator who is good at supporting staff from a range of cultural and religious backgrounds.
Our preference is for the Coordinator to come from Toowoomba; however we are willing to negotiate alternate arrangements with a successful applicant.
When you join QPASTT, you are getting more than just a job! This is a leadership role and you will have the opportunity to be at the heart of an organisation which believes that healing is a human right. You will be working with a group of people who really want people from refugee backgrounds to have the best opportunity to thrive in Australia. This role is critical to the quality and impact of our regional work and you will have the opportunity to support our regional team as well as positively influence our regional relationships.
