Duties/Abilities

The Daintree North, Diwan Work Unit is seeking a committed and dependable individual to join a team of enthusiastic and dedicated Rangers who currently achieve good results across the land which is jointly managed by Queensland Parks Wildlife Services (QPWS) and Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation (JYAC) within the Daintree National Park (CYPAL). The Rangers work across a broad area of landscape, completing a variety of tasks and gaining further skills and knowledge from other rangers and completion of training courses provided.

Daintree North/Cape Tribulation is a busy area with tour groups and visitors, so good customer service skills along with taking pride in the presentation of the day use and visitor areas which include board walks, picnic areas and amenities is important, while developing skills in natural resource management areas such as pest, fire, weed and infrastructure management programs.
