- Work Unit/Facility Location: Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service & Partnerships / Lake Eacham Nursery (Restorative Services)
- Remuneration/Salary: $63,728 - $69,731 per annum
Duties/Abilities
Take your career in conservation further - join our Nursery (Restoration Services) team at Lake Eacham, supporting natural land rehabilitation programs across the Northern Queensland National Parks, and enjoy working in the far tropical North!
You'll love the diversity, flexibility, and autonomy here. You will assist with quality nursery practices associated with native vegetation activities on QPWS managed areas, and your work will be varied, stimulating, and your office view will be stunning! Your strong leadership and communication skills will assist you in tackling evolving priorities across various reforestation programs.
You'll form invaluable professional relationships with Traditional Owners, various commonwealth and state agencies and stakeholders. About you:
- Your skills and knowledge of land rehabilitation will help build your success in this role
- Your knowledge and experience working with native vegetation rehabilitation programs will be advantageous to your work
- Experience in all aspects of quality nursery practices with monitoring and evaluation of outcomes will allow you to excel in this role
- You'll be a strong decision-maker with the ability to think on your feet
- Leading others will be a natural process for you, with a genuine interest in team work, collaboration and supporting the growth of others
