We’re seeking an experienced executive and leader who will empower the social service sector and community through community development, consultation, engagement and place-based projects to contribute to the ongoing strengthening and transformation of our sector and the community.

This Director position is a unique opportunity and will help QCOSS move into a new phase as we work to achieve our Strategic Plan and Vision into 2021 and beyond.

Key elements of the position:

  • Project Management and Business Development
  • Stakeholder Engagement, Consultation and Contract Management
  • Leadership and Strategy
  • Communication both interpersonal and written including, for example, preparation of high-quality reports documents and funding submissions

About you:

  • Do you identify as an Australian First Nations person?
  • Do you have extensive experience in the community services sector and an unwavering passion for innovation and collaboration?
  • Are you an experienced project and business development manager who has demonstrated experience preparing successful funding submissions and the ability to manage multiple programs and projects underpinned by the organisation’s Vision, Strategy and priorities?
  • Can you lead, grow and assess sector and community projects that contribute to the ongoing strengthening and transformation of the community services sector and the community?
  • Manage change, solve problems and make good decisions?
  • Think innovatively and laterally and apply professional judgment to situations?
  • Demonstrate initiative and draw on your existing knowledge, skills and experience to deliver high level services to both internal and external stakeholders?
  • Build cohesive teams and organisational capacity?
