About the Role

Manage the delivery of support coordination services, leading a team of four (4) direct reports whilst balancing the requirements of your own case load allocation. Reporting to the HR and Operations Manager, as a Team Leader you will be responsible for work allocation, performance management, reporting and external stakeholder engagement, as well as acting as a key point of escalation for complex cases. You will be joining a collaborative, supportive and high performing team, where people are always willing to pitch in and help one another to ensure high quality service outcomes for participants.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of support coordinators and administrators
  • Provide support coordination and manage your own case load of allocated participants
  • Support growth and promotion of the service within the community
  • Streamline relevant processes and procedures, and identify opportunities for improvement where appropriate
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of changes within the sector and provide training to others as necessary
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with new and existing service providers and other external stakeholders such as the NDIA

Skills and Experience 

  • Demonstrated experience in support coordination, with a strong understanding of the NDIS sector
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with participants and external stakeholders
  • Strong time management skills, and the capacity to manage competing priorities
  • High level of empathy, emotional intelligence, and the ability to make difficult decisions
  • Current blue card and yellow card / disability worker screening highly desirable - or the ability to obtain
