About the Role

Join a well-established Finance team in this 6 month maternity leave contract role, which will see you contributing to a diverse range of tasks including month end-processes, grant acquittals, reconciliations and other projects as required. This team is currently working from home full-time, but will resume working in the office part-time as soon as practical.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Management of month end processes for multiple business entities
• Preparation of tax compliance including BAS and Fringe Benefits Tax obligations
• Processing balance sheet reconciliations, including preparation of journals
• Maintenance of the fixed assets register
• Perform grant acquittal reporting as per relevant funding agreements
• Ad hoc projects and tasks to assist the Financial Manager as required

Skills & Experience required

• Tertiary qualifications completed in Accounting, Business or Commerce
• Demonstrated experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Proactive and self-motived, as this role will initially be working from home full time (with training and onboarding to take place remotely)
