ProCare Australia is currently seeking Disability Support Workers (who hold Yellow Cards) with experience supporting people in Supported Independent Living Service with complex and challenging physical and intellectual disabilities and / or Psycho Social issues.

The work will be of a casual nature which may include day, night and emergency shifts.

What you will need to be a Successful Applicant:

• Minimum of a Completed Certificate 3 in Disability or Community Services or equivalent
• Paid experience supporting people with a disability with a range of complex support needs including behavioural management support
• Demonstrated experience supporting people with moderate to high complex support needs including behavioural management support
• A valid Driver Licence and a Reliable Vehicle that you will be able to use for client transport if required and Comprehensive Car Insurance
• Must be willing and able to perform shift work which may include a mix of Day, Evening, Weekend, Nights and emergency on call work
• Must have current Blue Card, Yellow Card, current First Aid and CPR Certificate

We are seeking candidates who are able to support both young people and adults living with a disability with varying support needs including physical, intellectual and dual diagnosis.

You would be required to provide both in home support and assistance to clients to actively connect and engage within their communities.

A successful candidate needs to be passionate about helping others maintain their quality of life and enthusiastic about helping clients achieve their personal goals and aspirations both at home and within their local community.

Salary and Benefits

Hourly rate is paid at $35 per hour plus penalty rates for after hours, weekends and sleepover shifts plus super.
